Eivind Larsen 'conspiracy theorist' is a word that has lost its original meaning in order to disguise truth with false premises.. its discursive meaning is really that it's about a group that conspires towards some goal (often at the cost of the majority.), but todays meaning is ridiculed as something not to regard as true at all. So I agree with you to some extent Broomfield.
On Idealism and materialism, it covers the range from pataphysics to metaphysics so I think that a alternatives to that would be either the sensous world or fusing the two together.
